Is the vision for your life, your organization, your business, your family.... BIG enough? Do you even have one? Have you thought about this? Vision is an important guiding light that I don't feel we talk about enough. That's probably because it's hard and uncomfortable. I encourage you to lean into that conversation. Discuss it. Dream about it. Write it down. Spend time cultivating it. This is important work.

In fundraising and in most challenging endeavors, VISION is critical to success. There are plenty of organizations that want and need to raise more money, but it's the STORY and VISION that your ledership must describe very clearly and inspire in order to create and execute on big goals. The funding will easily follow those who cast the big dream and dare greatly to create something new or bolder that will serve more people.

I'm reading a book called, "Make No Small Plans" by the Elliott Bisnow, Brett Leve, Jeff Rosenthal and Jeremy Schwartz, co-founders of Summit. These few sentences in the foreward by Jody Levy stirred something deep in my heart and spirit, "And that, I realized, is what the members of the Summit community have in common: the insatiable desire to create and connect so that we can make an impact on ourselves and on generations to come. Because those are the type of people we are. We work hard and play harder. We want to know that our spirit can ripple long after we're gone. And we often feel like outsiders, looking for others who work as hard, who care as much, and who take big ideas and turn them into real things in the world."

If this moves you in any way or resonates with you, I want to know.... We need to continue the conversation.

Cheers my friends! Here's to your beautiful vision!
